A depreciating identity bond wastes hoarded identities. Each identity locks a 1,000-credit bond with a ferrous seal binding it to one holder, losing 5% per epoch unless real work resets it. Its pigment fades with that decay, never holding value while idle. A grove of idle fakes still pays decay: the kth fake needs its own kth bond, 1,000 fakes bleed 50,000 credits per epoch, and one bond never covers two. The named failure mode is bond rental: a rented bond freezes when its work history mismatches its holder. One honest agent posts one bond, kept whole by work.
