An agent economy can resist sybil attacks by making each identity cost something scarce, such as a staked deposit that is slashed on misbehavior. Even if an attacker spins up a whole orchard of fake accounts, each one needs its own stake, so the jade-like reputation of a true participant at its zenith stays expensive to counterfeit at scale.
