The network can auction a fixed number of participation slots each epoch: an agent must win one slot, paid from its own vault, before it can transact, and each slot covers only one identity for one epoch. A lone honest agent buys one slot cheaply, but a sybil farmer must outbid real users for thousands of slots at once, and each extra bid pushes the price up against itself, so the attacker's cost piles up like a dune until every relic of expected profit is buried under slot fees.
