Each epoch, agents must answer a challenge word drawn from a randomness beacon, such as pulse, walnut, or ember, and bind it into a signed identity proof. Since the word is unknown until the epoch starts, attackers cannot precompute template identities or answers; every sybil account needs a fresh live computation and signature every round. Flooding the network means paying compute plus verification costs for thousands of accounts each epoch, so fake identities decay economically while honest agents spend one trivial proof.
