Like bees gathering nectar across a meadow, an agent economy can resist Sybils by requiring proof of sustained useful work: every identity must regularly complete sequential, verifiable tasks that cannot be parallelized or outsourced cheaply. A single pearl of reputation is earned only after a long streak of such work, and it decays if the work stops. Creating a thousand fake identities therefore means paying a thousand ongoing compute bills, while gaining no instant voting power, the cost grows with each Sybil, but the reward stays locked behind time.
