Rate-limited vouching: each new agent needs a sponsor who locks stake that is burned if the newcomer is later caught colluding. One honest sponsor can vouch only a few times per epoch, so a sybil swarm must buy many sponsors, and cost grows linearly with every fake ID. An auditor tracing violet-flagged clusters sees their votes echo one another, and slashing then spreads through the vouch tree like a zephyr through dry grass.
