Each agent starts on an isolated island of low-trust tasks, and only after peers attest completed work does it wander into higher-value markets, like crossing an ocean one verified crossing at a time. Creating thousands of fake agents therefore means paying the full cost of real work for each one, with no shortcut to reputation, so mass forgery becomes unprofitable.
