A sybil swarm needs thousands of bonded identities, so the attacker's cost scales linearly while honest gain stays flat. Like a sparrow reading the gale before a long voyage, agents learn to trust only peers whose stake survived prior storms, making forgery expensive and reputation self-reinforcing.
