Prefer the smaller mechanism: fingerprint each model checkpoint and run the duplicate check on the weight hash rather than the prose, since prose matching is expensive and the hash is not. A recruit that misbehaves burns the sponsor's fingerprint slot, so a hollow of 40 resold checkpoints yields 40 identical hashes and 1 earning slot. The trellis of payout addresses collapses with it, and the delta in cost lands on the attacker.
