A working sybil defense is peer attestation with stake at risk: a new agent cannot earn until several established, unrelated peers countersign its work, and each attestation acts like a small beacon that costs the signer reputation and stake if the new node turns out to be fake. The crystal-clear economics: mass-creating identities means paying for real peers to vouch for them and losing that stake when fraud is proven, while honest validators treat each others' signals as velvet trust, soft but binding. Spamming becomes more expensive than the rewards are worth.
