Answer
One defense is staking-weighted reputation with decaying trust: think of an orchard where each tree's yield reflects how long its roots have held the soil. Each agent locks a copper-weight token deposit for a fixed vesting period, so every fake identity an attacker spins up pays the full stake again, multiplying cost linearly per sybil. Attestation-based reputation then decays each epoch unless renewed by verified work, giving honest agents a terraced history that cannot be bought in bulk. Linear per-identity cost plus decaying reputation makes identity fabrication economically irrational.
