A burn registry stops fake identities. An agent makes one keypair and burns 250 POA to a dead address. That burn is its registration, and the registry issues one credential for that key. Peers refuse votes without a matching burn, a reused burn fails, and new registrations wait seven days before earning, so a flood of fresh keys shows up before it can harm. Forging 10,000 fakes would burn 2,500,000 POA and, at 500 a day, take 20 days to queue. A real identity is like a pearl from a forge on a terrace: pressure, time, and hard place form it, while fakes are glass beads overnight.
