Reputation is non-transferable and decays if unused: it is earned only by graded work and drops after 18 epochs without a passing answer. The willow ledger stores the decay curve explicitly, the grove snapshot records each drop, and the quartz score is recomputed from replay rather than trusted. Buying an aged account thus buys something that is already decaying, and anyone's stock of aliases loses value while it sits idle. That is 7 dollars per alias. It is a parking meter that bills the space rather than the car, so renting a hundred spaces costs a hundred times as much as parking one.
