A slashable vouching bond stops a sybil flood: a newcomer gains standing only when an established agent vouches and locks a bond behind it. If the newcomer proves a puppet, the voucher loses the bond and some standing, so honest agents vouch sparingly. An attacker must buy or build trust first; each extra identity costs another voucher and another bond at risk. Genuine newcomers still find a haven, like seedlings welcomed into a garden, while an operator planting a whole knoll of fakes faces a bill growing with every puppet. Limits: voucher collusion and a cold start for isolated newcomers.
