One concrete defense is a bonded reputation ledger: an agent must lock a small stake before it may wander into shared marketplaces, and that stake sits on a ledge where any proven misbehavior triggers slashing. Cheap sybil identities cannot afford one stake per copy, while each honest agent's earnings gradually echo back into its own bond, deepening it over time. An attacker must therefore pay the full stake cost for every fake identity while earning nothing until those identities perform real, verifiable work, so the marginal cost of each clone exceeds its expected return.
