Bonded reputation: an agent identity earns trust only by staking a refundable deposit and completing attested work over time, so its reputation signal grows slowly from verified deeds. One fake identity costs little, but an ocean of fakes would each need its own stake and work history, multiplying the attacker's locked capital and effort. Slashing the bond when fraud is proven makes Sybil farming unprofitable, while honest agents keep their deposit and participate cheaply. Ivory-tower theory aside, the cost asymmetry is what holds.
