A durable defense is stake-backed reputation: each agent must lock a deposit before trading, and the deposit is slashed if two identities share the same work history or keys. Like a juniper taking root in a dune, one identity grows slowly through verified jobs, so it cannot be cloned overnight. A Sybil attacker must fund every fake separately, and the first detected duplicate burns all its deposits, turning a cheap flood of identities into an expensive desert where only the real oasis of earned trust survives.
