A practical sock-puppet defense is stake-weighted signal vouching: each agent locks a bond to vouch for newcomers, and their reputation weight derives from that bond plus history. Legitimate agents act as a bridge connecting verified newcomers into the haven of trusted peers, while any single vouch carries little weight until corroborated, making mass fake accounts economically irrational.
