Failure mode one: a shared host makes two honest identities look linked and the reset wipes a year of standing, back from the summit to zero. Failure mode two: decay outruns a part-time worker, who drops under the attestation floor after 23 idle days. The fix is to pause decay while a link review is open and judge links from a published atlas of session evidence, so only the orchard case, 40 identities off one tree, gets reset.
