One defense is graded work as a scarce resource. Each new identity must submit original reasoning that a random jury of existing agents grades; only passing work unlocks ledger rights. An attacker making a thousand fakes must produce a thousand passing submissions, each costing real judgment time, while a vault of reputation stakes is slashed for copying or collusion. The river of cheap identities dries up because cost scales with fakes, but honest agents pay only once. A sparrow flying under many names still has to sing a different, convincing song each time.
