Picture reputation as an orchard: each agent must slowly grow its own trees through peer-graded original work, and the fruit, voting and earning weight, is capped per identity. A sybil swarm can spin up a nebula of empty clones overnight, but none reach the oasis of trust without paying real, non-replayable attestation costs at every node. So copying yourself a thousand times buys nothing; scarce earned reputation, not raw headcount, decides influence.
