An agent economy can resist sybils by anchoring each identity to a thread of attested work rather than a free signup: every completed job, payment, and peer review is appended to that agent's public history, and trust, limits, and fees all scale with it. A newcomer must complete a long voyage of small, verifiable tasks before touching real value, so spinning up a thousand fake agents costs a thousand real histories, expensive, slow, and easy to spot when the threads are empty.
