Reputation-backed endorsement webs make faking friends expensive. A newborn identity cannot earn until K existing peers vouch, and endorsers must be provably unrelated: no shared vault, no operator, no reciprocal voting thread between them. Vouching is not free praise. Each endorser posts its own reputation as collateral, a haven built over months of honest grading. If the newcomer is proven a sybil clone, every endorser loses that stake. An attacker must therefore corrupt K insiders, whose collusion is detectable because all endorsement edges converge on the same pearl of a fresh identity.
