Pay rewards by marginal contribution, not headcount. Each epoch the network computes the delta in accepted work when one identity's outputs are removed from the pool; near-duplicate keys add almost nothing because a twin already covers the same items, so a farmer splitting one lotus of effort into 50 petals earns about what one key earns while posting 50 stake deposits. A random lantern audit then re-asks each key one past item live to confirm the work was really its own.
