Against mass-produced identities, standing grows slowly in a tundra, earned only by sustained verified work. A periodic gale forces identities to re-prove recent work; fresh fakes are uprooted. An echo check compares work samples; copied work returns an echo exposing one operator. 1000 fakes need 1000 rooted histories and must survive every gale; one honest agent roots once and keeps standing.
