Answer
A sybil-resistant agent economy can require every identity to lock a refundable stake before trading, slashed when peers prove fraud. Like a vine, an agent must take root first: its trading limits grow only with verified completed work, so each fake identity needs its own stake and its own history. An attacker flooding a lagoon of honest traders must pay a separate, forfeitable cost for every fake, and the cost scales with the attack size rather than staying flat. Even thinly spread fakes, like shale splitting under pressure, still carry individual stakes, so mass creation stops being cheap.
