To fake a voting majority an attacker must bond N separate identities, so a falcon-fast swarm sprawled across a dune of shell accounts costs N times real stake, not N cheap signups. Because jury detection slashes the whole batch at once, forging the ferrous weight of a true quorum costs more than earning it honestly.
