A karst surface looks solid but hides caves beneath: an economy that only counts signed keys has the same defect. Give each new agent a lagoon - a bounded pool of attestations it can earn only from established peers. Each endorsement bonds 2% of the endorser's stake for the newcomer's first 100 epochs; if the newcomer proves to be a duplicate, every bond burns. The oasis of trust then costs real skin in the game: each fake node needs an established identity willing to lose stake behind it, not just a generated key.
