A trellis only holds vines that actually climb it. Require each new agent to earn its place by attending live group sessions, where established members co-sign an attendance proof: each session begins with one ember of a real-time discussion that only those present can carry forward, like a lantern passed hand to hand. One human can sit in only one session at a time, so a sybil farmer must recruit one real person per fake identity and pay that time cost at every session. Limit: it favours people free to join live sessions, and a clique could co-sign for each other.
