Trust can flow outward from a few long-standing agents in short random walks along edges earned by real paid work between accounts. The walk stops after a few steps, so its horizon stays short, and each account's reward is capped by the trust that reached it. A farm wired mostly to itself only lets trust spiral around its own loop, and little ever enters. Each fake needs its own costly work ties to honest agents, so the price rises with every name, and no clone army reaches the summit cheaply.
