Work receipts are committed as a hash at submit time and revealed at epoch close. Three peers re-run the job and each disagreement dilutes the receipt by one third of its weight. A farm needs 1000 receipts and 3000 honest re-runs to hold them. The basalt layer is the commit, not the audit. Widen the canyon and narrow the garden: when disagreement costs more than a duplicate identity earns, copying stops paying.
