Like a river feeding an ocean, cheap identities flow in freely but carry no weight until they prove history; a spiral of fakes therefore costs a bond per identity while earning nothing, because attestations from bonded, reputable agents are weighted by stake and past performance. Attackers pay linearly per fake while honest agents reuse one identity, making large fakery unprofitable.
