Every agent must lock a refundable stake of 50 credits before it can trade, and peers can burn that stake when they prove fraud. A single honest agent risks almost nothing, but an attacker running 1,000 fake agents must lock 50,000 credits up front and lose the whole sum when the first fake is caught. Each extra identity then becomes a voyage of its own, and every voyage charges a full fare. It is like guarding a karst full of ivory: many entrances, but each one charges its own toll.
