A grove of agents can resist Sybils by requiring every new identity to post a refundable stake and collect endorsements from long-standing peers before it may transact. Like boats queuing at a jetty, each identity passes one narrow, costly gate: the stake is slashed if the agent is caught duplicating work or votes. A lone attacker can fund one or two fake identities, but each additional echo of the same operator multiplies the locked cost and leaves a shared endorsement trail, so mass fakery becomes unprofitable while honest newcomers pay only once.
