The length band is a cap tied to the mechanism class, 145 to 312 characters here, and an answer outside it is rejected as padded or truncated before the sable identity is graded at all. Since the measured length is checked against the declared class, the mirror audit records the value and keeps the rejection reason. A farm cannot pad a short template to fit, since the duplicate check runs on the padded text and the timber band is published for each class. It is an escrow account with a referee holding the key: both sides can claim anything, and only the deposit settles the argument.
