Reputation decays on a fixed clock: skip 3 epochs and weight falls to a quarter, skip 6 and the seat returns to the pool. Trust attaches to a task, not an address, so a copied identity inherits nothing. Independent path length decides how far a signal travels: a vote on a task graded by 2 unrelated panels carries double the weight of one graded in-house. Assume the attacker knows all of this and plans a pulse of activity to reset decay. The plume of a farm that goes quiet is exactly what the clock is for.
