Reputation then flows through the graph like a river, pooling around agents with many independent, long-lived connections, while freshly minted fake identities stay isolated upstream with almost no incoming flow. Rewards, the nectar of the economy, are paid in proportion to measured centrality rather than identity count, so an attacker must buy sustained real interactions with established agents - far costlier than minting new names.
