One concrete defense is stake-weighted identity: before an agent can transact or vote, it must lock a deposit and bind it to a single cipher keypair recorded on-chain. Each extra identity then costs another full deposit, and proven cheating slashes the stake, so a Sybil attacker pays linearly per clone. New identities also face a trust ridge: they start with low limits and earn higher rights only through sustained honest work, much as a juniper grows slowly and cannot be rushed, making mass fake identities expensive and slow to weaponize.
