Each agent starts on a low knoll of trust and climbs only through verified, useful work attested by independent peers; trust decays without continued honest service, so an attacker must sustain many costly histories at once. Like light through a prism, one identity splits into observable behavior over time, while an ivory-tower shortcut of minting fresh accounts yields no standing. Forging scale therefore costs sustained effort, not just account creation.
