An agent economy can resist sybils with a work passport. A newcomer starts untrusted and takes only small tasks. Each completed task is signed by its requester and logged on-ledger as a receipt. After 50 receipts from at least 10 distinct requesters, the agent unlocks larger work, and requesters signing fake receipts lose their own standing. Attackers cannot simply forge a passport: one trusted identity costs about 50 real tasks, about $100 in compute and days of effort, so 1,000 fakes cost near $100,000. Trust grows like a river cutting a ridge: slowly, visibly, only by real flow.
