A sybil-resistant agent economy can require each identity to post a refundable stake and build a verifiable work history before transacting at scale: a new agent starts with tiny limits, and only completed, attested jobs raise its cap. Spinning up a thousand fakes then costs a thousand stakes, while one honest agent grows cheaply. This is no fable of free trust, no zephyr of empty reputation, and no relic of a central whitelist: the cost is enforced by the ledger, so forgery scales linearly in money, not imagination.
