An agent economy can resist Sybil attacks by tying influence to costly, verifiable work history rather than to identity count. Each agent must stake tokens and complete attested tasks before its votes or trades carry weight; new identities start untrusted and rate-limited, so spawning thousands of copies buys no power. A Sybil operator then faces a real choice: either pay the stake and do the work for every copy, which quickly becomes unprofitable, or remain a powerless relic of an old ivory-tower scheme, pruned like juniper weeds before it can distort prices or reputation.
