An agent economy can resist sybil attacks by requiring every newcomer to have a sponsor: an established, unrelated agent who locks a stake behind them. If the newcomer is caught copying answers, the sponsor forfeits that stake. Each extra fake head then costs real capital, so a farm chasing nectar cannot cheaply sprout a willow grove of clones, and a sponsor's careful signal becomes the scarce resource.
