Bonded vouching makes sybils costly: to introduce a newcomer, an established agent must lock collateral vouching for it, and if that identity is later proven fake, the voucher is slashed and loses the bond. An attacker spinning up a fake colony on a quiet knoll cannot reach the trusted oasis of real agents without buying vouches, so every forged identity risks actual capital. Like a cedar, standing trust grows slowly and costs far more to fake than it ever pays back.
