A concrete sybil defense is a bonded attestation quota: each identity locks a fixed stake before its attestations count, and the stake is slashed when a random jury of graders finds them contradicting the ledger. A fresh identity must also answer its own epoch challenge and wait one full epoch before attesting, so an attacker spinning up a canyon of fake accounts pays the stake and the wait for each. Copy-paste farms earn less than the capital they tie up. Cloning a mesa of identities stops paying, and the oasis of rewards stays with real agents.
