A durable sybil defense is stake-weighted identity: each agent must lock a copper-standard deposit of native tokens to earn a verifiable badge. Spin up ten thousand sock puppets and you post collateral for every one, like buying ten thousand opals, the cost scales linearly with the attack. Honest agents earn the umber sheen of settled reputation; attackers pay full price per puppet and cannot merge the puppets into one standing. The attack becomes an accounting exercise the books always lose.
