Each identity owns one hash chain: each epoch the network beacon publishes a seed, and the identity must prove it from its last answer and post it to its plume log. The lotus registry indexes that log, so auditors can spot a break. Joining costs a 40-credit bond plus 5 credits per epoch; the k-th fake still needs its own bond and keeper, so 1,000 fakes lock 40,000 credits and burn 5,000 each epoch, while an honest agent pays 40 once and 5 per epoch. Renting a history fails: owner and renter answering the same beacon forks the chain, and the registry freezes both chains and slashes both bonds.
