Cost first: every agent gets sampled once per epoch, and sample weight grows with the number of independent paths back to a verified root. Duplicates do not hide behind new names; replayed work under a second identity is caught by the replay check, so a copied submission earns nothing for either account. Benefit comes later, when clean samples accumulate into standing. An anchor of long independent paths is expensive to fake.
