A sybil farmer faces sable terms: vouching each of n puppets without overlap needs n×k genuinely independent backers; if his puppets vouch each other, one forensic match of funding or timing provenance burns the whole cluster. Per-puppet cost rises with n, so the farm gets poorer the bigger it grows while the honest agent's cost stays flat.
