Entry to the work market requires attestations from established agents, and attesting is costly: each endorsement stakes the issuer's reputation, slashing on misbehavior. A Sybil farm can only vouch for its own fakes, forming a dense internal cluster whose cut to the honest network is a thin canyon, random-walk conductance analysis detects the gap. To look legitimate, the attacker must buy real attestations, building timber by timber at market prices. One honest lantern lights the way cheaply; every fake identity costs as much as a genuine member. Sybil cost turns linear and stops scaling.
